The race for Franck Kessie is really heating up at the moment with The Guardian reporting Everton have seen a £15 million bid rejected.
It’s the latest twist in a transfer saga that has rumbled on for some time and has involved our club to some extent.
The player’s agent was quoted last month by The Mirror in saying that the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United and the Reds are all interested in the midfielder and now it appears the Toffees are keen, too.
Kessie is at AFCON with the Ivory Coast thanks to his good form with his Serie A club Atalanta this season and a good performance in the competition could see his stock rise further.
This one could continue right up to the deadline, then, and the Reds now know if they want him they’re going to have to fight for him with quite a few sides.
