Sooner or later Mamadou Sakho is going to leave Liverpool Football Club.
The powerful French defender has undergone a serious fall from grace over the past few months and with the likes of Southampton making a loan offer (that was rejected,) it does seem like only a matter of time before he goes.
Indeed, he was once a cult hero for our club with his evident love of all things red and genuinely improving performances out on the pitch last season.
He was instrumental in our run to the Europa League final and League Cup final and was becoming a real force at the back.
Discipline issues look to have thrown that all away, though, and so with him surely set to exit at some point soon, the Reds need to think of replacements.
That in mind, then, here are two we’d like to see come in and take his place in the squad…
