There’s something brilliantly familiar about looking forward to a semi-final week involving the Reds as we once again look to reach the League Cup final.

We’re the record times winners of the competitions, with eight victories, and after reaching last year’s final we’re aiming to go one better and get Jurgen Klopp’s first trophy during his stay here.

The Reds won’t have it easy, though, as we head to Southampton for the first leg in a tie that has the potential to give us a few issues.

Indeed, with the way the squad is at the moment we think Jurgen may have to slightly tweak our formation to make use of what is available to him at the moment.

With Sadio Mane at AFCON and Philippe Coutinho likely to be only on the bench, it’s time for the Reds to show their adaptability and we think this 4-3-1-2 could help them do just that on the way to a vital win…
