We got to see the latest outing of our young Reds starlets yesterday, as we played host to Plymouth in the FA Cup.
It wasn’t their best showing, though, as they ended up recording a drab draw with the men from Devon in front of a packed Anfield crowd.
The men in green clearly had one plan in mind which was to earn a replay and, to their credit, they achieved just that as the young Reds team controlled the ball but failed to muster any clear cut chances.
A lot of the football was sideways and ineffective and, whilst some of the youngsters impressed, others left a lot to be desired and that goes for the senior stars, too.
We’ve got a replay to contend with in just over a week’s time, then, but in the meantime here are the two players we felt did well and the one who really should have done more yesterday…
