It’s almost time for our latest League Cup semi-final as the Redmen travel to Southampton tomorrow night.

We’ve won the trophy on eight occasions – more than anyone else – and after reaching last year’s final we’re going to be keen, you’d hope, to go one better and lift it as the first of Jurgen Klopp’s tenure.

The German took us to two finals last season – both of which we lost – but before we can think of that we need to get past a very handy looking Saints side on Wednesday.

The Saints will be well up for beating us down at St. Mary’s so we need to make sure we match them for commitment and desire before hosting them at Anfield before the end of the month.
