|

The player that is originally called ‘sick-note’ due his constant injuries that over his career covered most of his body and kept him out of most of his clubs’ games. Having spent most of his career at Tottenham Hotspur, Anderton played with some of the greats at the time but turned down a move to Manchester United before being called up to the England side for the first of his 30 caps in 1994. Anderton suffered bad knee and hamstring injuries that lost him his place at Tottenham Hotspur and resulted in a journeyman few years that saw him play and get injured at Wolves, Birmingham, Portsmouth and Bournemouth, where he eventually hung up his boots.
