The dedication of Ledley King has got to be admired, he has stayed with Tottenham Hotspur for his whole career and is never heard moaning about his constant troubles that have effectively ruined what was expected to be one the best careers in the club’s history. King suffered a serious knee injury in 2006 and has failed to recover from surgery to this date. Just as he was about to break into the England side and possibly earn a big money transfer his career was left on hold. King is still with Spurs but is unable to train with the first team due to this ongoing knee problem and can only play once a fortnight (if that) for the club. Thierry Henry once stated that King was the only defender he knew that got the better of him without needing to foul him. A great honour to what could have been a great footballer.
