Quantcast

1. Dean Windass – Aberdeen v Dundee Utd – November 2007

|

Possibly the greatest red card(s) ever. The second most famous man from Hull managed the almost impossible feat of being sent off three times in one match.
The first was for a second bookable offence, a run-of-the-mill way to be sent off. But from there it exploded into a piece of footballing history.
Incensed by the decision, the striker lost all control of his temper and began berating the referee, which earnt him another flash of the card and when he finally decided to leave them field he took out his frustration on the corner flag, earning him with an unwanted hat-trick but a gem of a stat.
