Andriy Shevchenko

Everyone thought he’d take the Premier League by storm after leaving AC Milan to join Chelsea for £30 million. Despite being brought to Stamford Bridge by owner Roman Abramovic under the nose of then boss Jose Mourinho the Ukrainian was seen as the man to fire the Blues to Champions League glory. It wasn’t to be though as Shevchenko struggled to cope in the Premier League and despite the odd flash of brilliance never looked settled in the top flight. A wonder goal against Tottenham at White Hart Lane is the only good thing that stands out during his time in England.
