So Mike Ashley has got a funny way of running football clubs, we all knew that. However I don’t think many of us were prepared for his latest ace in the hole: giving away his best players for free. Hmm…that’s an interesting one Mike; Ashley’s ego was so big that Barton’s (truthful) criticism of the club was seen as unforgivable and Barton, despite being one of Newcastle’s best players was offloaded to QPR on a free transfer.
