The extremely underrated holding midfielder has been targeted by every major club in Europe over the past year due to his contract problems at Fiorentina and his rise in the national side promoting his talents further. With funds seemingly not a stumbling block that is usually the case in the big name players, clubs such as Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool will all fancy their chances of persuading the Italian to move to England. With over 200 appearances under his belt for the Viola and 29 caps for Italy set to be increased next month, the player is out of contract in the summer after refusing to sign a new deal in Italy and so a cheap January move or a free summer move will attract plenty of investors.
