No top ten list seems to be complete without Mad Mario, and this one is no exception. When it comes to the striker’s fashion faux pas, it is hard to pick just one, from the newly unveiled personalised snood, to protect him during the Artic conditions at Carrington, to the ‘why is it always me’ t-shirt that provides a vast array of answers for the player – none of which are complementary. However, City’s brilliant but bizarre centre forward makes the list here due to the hat he wore around last year’s Manchester Christmas Market, resembling something of a high five on his head. If only we would have known the strange hat was more suited to Mario than we thought – a strange hat for a strange boy, and a sign of things to come.
