At the summit of Keegan-mania in the late seventies the darling of English and German football decided it would be fitting to venture into the world of pop. 1979 was day his singing career died a horrible, painful death with the realise of the mortifyingly cheesy ‘Head Over Heel’s in Love’. Whilst the song bailed to reach the top 30 on British shores the tone deaf German’s loved it as it soared into the top 10 in their charts. Sadly that wasn’t the end as Keegan persevered and released an equally bad track called ‘England’ on his return to his home country.
