It didn’t take long for Squillaci to be found out in the Premier League. Not a full season had gone by before Wenger and the Arsenal fans realised that their winning ticket was in fact a ticket to the most tackle shy defender in the league. Wenger reportedly tried to offload the former Sevilla and Lyon man in the summer but, unsurprisingly, there were no takers. It hasn’t seemed to bother Squillaci at all though who appears happy to sit back and accept his sizeable weekly wage for minimal effort.
