I’m not saying that Michael is the player he once was. I’m not even saying he’s been anywhere near his best for years. But, he is a proven goal scorer and every single level from youth to full international. Michael has plied his trade at some of the best clubs in the world and although joining United originally seemed a good idea (he did win trophies) surely he will want to be playing some football in the dwindling years of his career. I’m sure there would be many teams who would take him and utilise his ability in front of goal but it seems he is determined to spend the remainder of a once promising career on the bench.
