Nine clubs in 14 years tells its own story with Jeffers failed to grasp the limelight that was thrust in front of him at a young age. Starring as a 16-year-old in 1997 he secured a big money move to Arsenal in 2001 but things dramatically went downhill. Injury, form and an inability to cut it at the top level saw him move further down the divisions as the years passed. Now 30 and plying his trade for Motherwell in the SPL he still boasts a 100% goal scoring record for England scoring in his only game against Australia in 2003. Another former Toffee also made his debut that night. His name? Wayne Rooney.
