Real Madrid midfielder and former Liverpool player Xabi Alonso is keen to link up with Steven Gerrard once again. New Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has recently expressed his admiration for the England midfielder and may well bid for the player this summer. Alonso said:
“We will see what happens, Steven is a legend at Liverpool and I have a lot of respect for Liverpool’s fans and also the club, but it is clear that he’s an awesome player. He has an incredible quality.”
The two players combined very well in Liverpool’s midfield before Alonso’s departure and no doubt the Spanish international would relish a chance to play with him again.
