9th Feb 2010 – Brighton 0 – 0 Huddersfield (League One) – Eccleston had a quiet game as Huddersfield tried out a new 4-3-3 formation. The new position did not suit the young striker and the game was a very scrappy affair. Both teams had chances to win it but none fell to Eccleston. He was substituted on 62 minutes for Lee Novak, and although the 19 year old will be disappointed he didn’t contribute more, he will have to be aware it takes time to consistently perform at a high level in the first team. As a young player, it will be something he gains through experience.
