tom ince12th Dec – Liverpool 1 – 1 Blackburn Rovers (FA Premier Academy League) – Ince played well once again against Blackburn, and in a turgid first half, he fired wide of the goal after a great ball by Hungarian forward Krisztian Adorjan. After the break, great wing play on the left hand side of midfield by Ince, ended in a superb cross for striker Michael Ngoo who somehow headed over the bar from a short distance. Blackburn took a shock lead on 70 minutes but sub James Ellison salvaged a point for the Merseysiders.

30th Nov – Liverpool 2 – 0 Wolves (FA Youth Cup) – A great display by Tom Ince helped Liverpool through to the next round of the FA Youth Cup. The young winger could have given the Red an early three minute lead but he dragged his shot wide of the past after arriving late in the box. He again could have broken the deadlock on 22 minutes after great play from Christopher Buchtmann put Ince away clear on goal, but he was hesitant on his short and fired wide. He did not put his head down however and scored on 35 minutes. A great pin point ball by centre back Andre Wisdom saw Ince one-on-one with the keeper once again, but this time he did not hesitate, and slotted the ball calmly into the net. Krisztian Adorjan scored early on in the second half to make the score 2-0 but the performances of centre back Wisdom and winger Ince stood out. Ince proved a real handful for Wolves’s right-back Jack Metcalf, and the defender showed his frustration by picking up a yellow card for a challenge on Ince in the second half. His father Paul, assistant manager Sammy Lee and Kenny Dalglish were all watching in the crowd and all could not fail to be impressed by this performance.

21st Nov – Liverpool 1 – 3 Manchester United (FA Premier Academy League) – Ince performed exceptionally well in the match despite ending up on the losing side against arch-rivals United. On 20 minutes, Ince delivered a great 25 yard free kick which forced United keeper Conor Devlin into a good save. Before half time Ince put in a great through ball to Krisztian Adorjan who was only prevented from getting a shot away by a last ditch tackle from Dean McGinty. In the second half, Ince nearly got Liverpool back level after nearly reaching John Flanagan’s ball at the far post. Seconds later though, Nick Ajose made it 2-0 and Liverpool were regretting their missed chances, eventually losing 3-1 after a second goal by Will Keane and a consolation for the Merseysiders by Adam Pepper.

14th Nov – Liverpool 1 – 2 Wolves (FA Premier Academy League) – Ince played the full 90 minutes but was powerless to prevent Liverpool falling to yet another defeat. The victory which was sealed by Wolves five minutes from time after Andre Wisdom had equalised for the Reds.

7th Nov – Liverpool 1 – 0 Crewe Alexandra (FA Premier Academy League) – A good win for the young Reds after James Ellison scored 30 minutes into the match to seal victory. The Under 18s had many more chances to score but failed to put them away, including when Tom Ince curled in a tremendous free-kick for Stephen Sama to head just wide on the hour mark.

31st Oct – Liverpool 0 – 2 Everton (FA Premier Academy League) – In a disappointing mini-derby, players such as Thomas Ince struggled to make an impact as late goals from Danny Murphy and Conor McAleny gave the Evertonians a 2-0 win. Ince nearly put the Reds in front mid way through the second half after he did well to turn and shoot inside the penalty box but Everton goalkeeper Adam Davies did well to keep out the lowly struck shot.

17th Oct – Liverpool 3 – 0 Blackburn Rovers (FA Premier Academy League) – An impressive performance by the Under 18s as Michael Ngoo scored two while Thomas Ince played the whole match and contributed a good deal to proceedings.

10th Oct – Liverpool 0 – 1 Bolton Wanderers (FA Premier Academy League) – Liverpool had their chances during the match but failed to take them. One particular embarrassing miss came when Thomas Ince swung in a free kick and striker Krisztian Adorjan headed over from only four yards out.

3rd Oct – Liverpool 4 – 1 West Bromwich Albion (FA Premier Academy League) – Ince once again played the whole match as James Ellison scored two in a game that did much to recover confidence after the recent hammering by City.

26th Sept – Liverpool 2 – 6 Manchester City (FA Premier Academy League) – Ince put Liverpool Under 18s into an early lead during the match but could not help the side as they slumped to a heavy defeat. The early strike was set up by Christopher Buchtmann who made a great run into the box and fired a shot against the far post, where Ince was in position to put in the rebound after just 1 minute of the game. Ince was involved again just before the break as he passed the ball to Buchtmann who shot just wide. Liverpool’s hopes unravelled in the second half after Michael Roberts was sent off early after the interval, the young Reds capitulated and conceded six goals.

19th Sept – Liverpool 0 – 3 Sunderland (FA Premier Academy League) – Ince started the match against a strong Sunderland side but like many could not make a real impression as they conceded two goals in the first half and one in the second. Ince was substituted for Tony Silva during the match.
