LFC Youth Watch – Michael Ngoo Match Report v Leeds

|

28th Apr – Liverpool 4 – 0 Leeds (Premier Academy League) – Michael Ngoo had another impressive performance as the young Reds were rampant against Leeds United. Ngoo had a chance to put Liverpool Under 18s ahead early on in the match but he turned into traffic rather than opting to shoot, allowing the ball to be cleared. The opportunity however sprung Liverpool into life and they got their deserved breakthrough on 18 minutes when Toni Silva’s cross could only be parried by the goalkeeper and the rebound landed at the feet of Ngoo who duly finished from close range. Tom Ince made the score 2-0 on 30 minuted and it could have been 3-0 at the break when Ngoo flicked a header on to Silva, who casually rounded the keeper before his shot was cleared off the line. The second half was more of the same from the young Reds and 10 minutes after the interval Conor Coady made it 3-0 from the penalty spot. Raheem Sterling came on to once again impress and Tom Ince finished the rout five minutes from time with a great strike. Rodolfo Borrell’s men haven’t lost since February and will hope to end the season on a high by beating Huddersfield on the last day of the season.
