Are Liverpool in for a surprise move for Tevez?

|

The Daily Mail reported yesterday that Carlos Tevez is unhappy at Manchester City and that Liverpool could be a surprise contender to sign the player if they have the funds to finance a move for the Argentinean striker. According to the paper, Tevez is willing to ask for a move away from Eastlands in the summer if Manchester City fail to get Champions League football next season, and his advisor Kia Joorabchian has said to have already sounded out potential suitors across Europe. The most significant fact in Tevez’s unrest is his rumoured falling out with manager Roberto Mancini, and has publicly criticised the way Mark Hughes was sacked and Mancini’s subsequent demands for double training sessions. It also said that Tevez’s advisor Joorabchian has fallen out with Manchester City after the exit of Hughes, and would not mind helping Tevez look for another club. Teams such as Real Madrid and Inter Milan are said to be front-runners for his signature but Liverpool, despite their own slim chances of Champions League football, have also been included in the running due to Tevez’s close relationship with Javier Mascherano. According to the paper, the only real possibility of Liverpool signing Tevez is if the Argentine becomes so unsettled at the City of Manchester stadium that City allow him to go for a cut price deal. It is certainly highly doubtful that City would sell to one of their closest rivals for such a small transfer fee, and considering Tevez rejected the Reds last summer, the move certainly looks very unlikely.

Only happen if Tevez becomes the makeweight in a deal for Torres.

Well i think you’ve cleared that up for us, David! There’s not much more to discuss.

Just a tip, if you’re going to write an article the use of paragraphs is a technique worth exploring.

about as likely as Torres to City!

  • zahid says:

If he wants Champions League football why would he go to Liverpool since i doubt they’ll be playing in the CL next season. Id love to see him in a Liverpool shirt but i don’t see it happening.

Can’t they just take the Yak. Please somebody take the Yak. Got to be the most laziest player to ever grace the premier league.

  • Tony says:

Is this the same Tevez that rejected Liverpool in favour of the higher wage packet at city? Mercenary, No thank you.

    BULLSH!T

  • Mark says:

Moron…if you were really a proper Liverpool supporter and not one of those Day Trippers that attached themselves to the club after 2005 then you’d know LFC has no f***ing money…so are unlikely to be signing anyone of note…

  • Gratian says:

Tony, one would have thought that a mercenary would just go for the money and then not try too hard. Tevez slogs his guts out each game so I am not sure how he becomes a mercenary.

  • mike says:

the fat waiter will onlt deploy him at full back or in goal anyway and ruin his career. like most players he’s bought for us.

Looks like an attempt to start a viral roumor, and get sweet revenge for Mancini’s recent Torres comments, That’ll teach money bags City!

  • Fitzy says:

Haha… What a load of sh*t! Why would liverpool be after a player who city paid £30m for gonna come to Liverpool who are struggling to get 7th place and don’t have a pot to p*ss in? And why would city sell him cheap cos he doesn’t get on with the manager… If your gonna report some news son at least make it a worthwhile story rather than this pile of sh*t!

  • MadRed says:
