Liverpool unveiled their new home kit for the 2010/11 season today. It is the first time that the new sponsor “Standard Chartered” will be emblazoned across the Red shirt. Let’s hope the new sponsor gives us better luck than our old one Carlsberg, who we were with 17 years and never won a league title! Reds goalkeeper Pepe Reina commented on the new kit:
“I think it is really nice, as I say always, no matter what. If it brings luck everything is fine for me.”
One of the predominant features of the new kit is the polo neck rather than v neck style but Jamie Carragher doesn’t care as long as the team is successful in the new kit:
“Lovely! We always like the shirts you can win something in so hopefully we can do that and that is how the shirt will be remembered.”
What’s your opinion of the new kit? Is it good or absolute rubbish?
Either it makes our lads look fat or the’ve been at the pies. Judging by our performances this season i think the pies have it.

Would have loved CARLSBERG to continue their sponsorship, but if they don’t wan’t to pay the right price then it’s right to change sponsor.
Nothing special. The best one was the Keegan / Toshack era one. A ferrari red plain outfit with white V collar and Gold hand stitched Liverbird Emblemon chest. Beautiful. We looked special in that kit. How ever if we get new owners Buy demaria,Villa,Hernanes,Silva or Iniesta and sell the garbage then any kit will all of a sudden look beautiful! Till then I’m afraid it looks really ordinary.
i love it, no more horrible fussy collars, more red, less white – hopefully a kit to win the league in 🙂
Nice I like it wish it was a bit more Red, but glad to get the unlucky Carlsberg off the shirt.
I miss Carlesberg, woulda made this kit perfect, but for £80m i wont make a fuss!
Forget looking at the new kit. LOOK at how LONG Gerrards arms are !

looks great but please dont let the new season begins just like this season…i think it better to put the white color as previous jersey at the neck..
