Rafa Benitez’s agent Manuel Garcia Quillon has commented publicly on the Liverpool manager’s future. In regards to interest from other clubs for the services of Benitez, Quillon had this to say:
“For now, Madrid has not moved, but Juve will not wait for Benitez forever.”
According to Quillon, a Chinese investor has been in contact with Rafa and that they assured the Liverpool manager they would only be interested in a deal for the club if Rafa stayed on as manager:
“The Chinese have an interest and called Rafa and told him that their condition for buying the club is that he remains coach.”
Quillon states though that the Liverpool managers future is “subject to fluctuations in the club’s financial situation.” Is Rafa demanding a big transfer kitty in the summer to rebuild the squad? It is certainly an interesting situation which will develop over the coming weeks and months.
