Reds Reserve joins Tranmere

|

Liverpool reserve goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi has joined Tranmere Rovers on an emergency seven day loan. The young Hungarian stopper has been in excellent form for John McMahon’s side this season and he will make his debut at Prenton Park against Exeter City today. After a recent reserve match against Bolton in a 2-1 victory, Reserve coach John McMahon was unequivocal in his praise for the keeper:

“Peter is fantastic to have in the team. He is very reliable and he made some great saves for us. I felt for him at the end when we conceded a late goal because he prides himself on clean sheets and to be honest he deserved one.”

A talented keeper for both Liverpool and  at youth level for Hungary, Gulacsi is not far off from being the Reds No.2 keeper behind Pepe Reina.
