New Juventus President not as keen on Benitez?

|

New Juventus president and FIAT heir Andrea Agnelli is said to be not as keen as his predecessor about pursuing Rafa Benitez as manager. Former chief Jean-Claude Blanc was a huge admirer of the Spanish manager, and although he continues at the club as the chief executive, the influence of Agnelli and sports director Beppe Marotta at the club is said to have increased. Both Agnelli and Marotta are less keen in doing a deal for Liverpool manager Benitez as he continues to stall on a decision. A Juventus source told ClickLiverpool.com:

“The new president is less keen on Benitez, especially because he has strung the situation out for so long. He expects a decision this week so he can get on with planning for the future.”

Agnelli especially will not take long to move on to a new target if Benitez takes long to decide. He is said to be interested in looking for an Italian coach, with Fiorentina manager Cesare Prandelli and Zenit St Petersburg boss Luciano Spalletti at the top of his wish list.

It really doesn’t matter because the Liverpool club don’t want him to leave and neither does Rafa. It is all media crap once again Italian and English! If I was buying the club I would want continuity with the plans already in place.
