Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has expressed his concerns about speculation that some of the Reds’ big name players such as Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres will leave this summer. He said:
Of course there is concern about Fernando and Stevie. Not just them, but others, too. Any team would count on Stevie and Fernando as big names and, for us, it’s the same.Without them, it would be really tough to be up there at the top next season.’
Reina has recently signed a six year contract to stay at Anfield and will be one of the player’s certain to stay at the club this summer.
