Masch’s Sale could be an opportunity, Pacheco’s Dilemma and the trouble with Liverpool’s kids these days: This week on Live4Liverpool.com

|

It is weird sitting here in July writing about Liverpool’s first competitive match but that’s how it has been this year after the travails of last season. It was a good confidence boosting performance in Macedona against Rabotnicki in the Europa League and Roy Hodgson will be delighted in the youngsters that played. More positive news came from Roy this week when he stated that Fernando Torres was looking forward to returning to training, although we will have to wait and see what Fernando says on his future. The statement from Roy that Mascherano wants to go did not come as a surprise to anybody and let’s hope now we can get a good price for him. This week on live4Liverpool has seen a variety of blogs from our writers including an article by our new writer Kevin Messam on “why our song needs to be adhered to this season,” and Chris Severs talks about the attitudes to English youth players in “The Trouble with Liverpool’s kids these days.” We also welcome back both Elliott Tunstall and Mark Wilson this week, who have both written excellent blogs on Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodriguez respectively, while Ian Lewis talks about Javier Mascherano’s sale as being a great way to improve the team’s attacking game in “Masch’s sale gives us a great ATTACKING Opportunity.” I have also written a few myself this week, talking about Dani Pacheco’s future in “Dani’s Dilemma” as well as putting five replacements forward for Javier Mascherano. Enjoy reading.
