Liverpool have been linked with a €7million for South Korea and Monaco striker Park Chu Young. Roy Hodgson is looking to strenghten his striking options for the coming season, and after an impressive World Cup in which he played an integral role in getting South Korea to the knock out stages, the 25 year old is said to be in the sights of the Merseyside club. The striker moved from FC Seoul to Monaco in 2008 and last season he scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in 22 appearances for the Ligue One side. Park has previously been named Asian young player of the year, and has scored 14 times in 39 appearances for his country, including a well taken free kick in the crucial final group match of the World Cup against Nigeria. Hodgson was linked to the player while at his former club Fulham, and it looks as if he will contunue his pursuit at his new club.

When last season ended so many of our players were rumoured to leave one had to fear that we may not be able to field 11 players for the start of this season. Now it is the other way round. We seem to be linked with every player at clubs with less famous names than ours (bar Chelsea and Man City). Hodgson will really have difficulties finding his best starting eleven with about 50 strikers to choose from plus 100 wingers and 150 central midfielders and about 25 centre halves. Well, silly season. What we need first and foremost is a left-back, but we don’t get linked with too many of them.
Get a left back or two, Defour, Turan, Mata or Benega. Use Kyut and Babel as Strikers or if he is cheap bring back Cisse!!!

Flauvio, I agree with you on most of the names. but we don’t need that Ruiz guy. videos of him are not that bad. but that’s not any better than that of babel’s before he made the switch to the anfield. I really agree that we need Defour, Turan and Banega as well as Taiwo or a decent left back.
