Could this be our young striker’s first real chance?

After scoring on his debut for Huddersfield Town while on loan from Liverpool last season, it seemed that Nathan Eccleston was about to show the footballing world what he could do. His goal against Yeovil after coming on as a substitute should have bode well for the rest of his loan spell at the Terriers. It proved, however, to be a false dawn. After being sent off for a reckless tackle in his third match against Gillingham, he was duly replaced in the team and was left to rue his mistake as he played out the rest of his loan spell on the bench. When he did come on he invariably played wide left and was far less effective than in his natural position up front.
