A mixed bag this week for Liverpool fans. The display against Birmingham City last weekend could be best described as drab, but the performance by a largely reserve Reds side against Steaua Bucharest on Thursday raised some optimism. Raul Meireles’s first start for the club along with good displays from Joe Cole and Jay Spearing give us some good cause for hope going into the encounter against Manchester United tomorrow. We have had a variety of different blogs this week from our writers.
