Monaco striker Dieumerci Mbokani has stated that he had an offer from Liverpool before he joined the French club from Standard Liege this summer:
“Liverpool gave me a good offer but I had already given the ‘OK’ to Monaco and I could not turn back on them.”
The Congolese international has however not ruled out a move in the future to Anfield.
