Where does the finger of blame point at Liverpool this season?

|

After Liverpool’s defeat in the Merseyside Derby yesterday, most Reds fans will be asking the question as to what is to blame for the team’s terrible start to the season. Liverpool lie nineteenth in the table with 6 points from eight games after the club’s worst start for more than 50 years. Most have justifiably criticised Roy Hodgson for the team’s poor performances, but there are also other mitigating circumstances including the massive uncertainty over the club’s ownership as well as the poor form of certain key players such as Fernando Torres. The lack of cutting edge going forward and poor defensive displays, combined by poor signings and decisions of the manager are the most important reasons in my opinion. You can vote on what you think is to blame for Liverpool’s poor season here at Football Fancast’s poll.
