Liverpool full back Fabio Aurelio has revealed he has never scored at Anfield since arriving at the club from Valencia in 2006. Although he has scored some important goals away from Anfield, most notably against Manchester United in a 4-1 victory, Aurelio told Liverpoolfc.tv, it was time he scored at home:
“It’s always great to play at Anfield and I want to help the team get back to winning ways. I also want to score my first goal for Liverpool at Anfield because all of my goals for the club have been away from home.”
Aurelio also stated that he believes the Reds can push up the table:
“We know the team needs to improve but we showed against Chelsea that we have the quality. I know we are not at our best level at the moment but we know we can improve and the only way to do this is by hard work.”
