Malaga enquire about Reds Starlet?

|

Cadena Ser is reporting that Malaga have approached Liverpool about taking Liverpool’s young attacking midfielder Dani Pacheco on loan until January. Only last week Roy Hodgson insisted the Spaniard had a bright future at the club:

“In the last couple of reserve games he’s played very well too. It’s nice to know he’s still very much a part of the Liverpool future. He’s unlucky in the position he plays, just behind the striker or in a wide role. That’s probably where we have most competition at the club right now. For a young player it’s not easy to knock the likes of Joe Cole, Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez off their perch. Having said that, we still believe in him. We think he’s a good player and he’s got a very bright future. Of course there’ll be lots of other clubs out there who want to take him but if he really wants to be at the top level he might be well advised to keep learning his trade with these sorts of people around him, rather than to become a bigger fish at a smaller club.”

Apparently, according to Cadena Ser though, Malaga have opened talks with the Merseyside club over a possible loan deal.

Would hate to see him go but you couldn’t blame him. Obviously a run of first team games would do him the world of good and hopefully he’d come back stronger. If we lose him permanently though I think it would be one of the worst moves in recent Liverpool history. He is the inesta or xabi of the future and must be kept.

Really? Competition? From Maxi?! Did anyone see that fluffer he coughed up right in front of Tottenham’s goal? If we lose Pacheco because we don’t give him a chance with the likes of Cole and Maxi in front of him, I’ll be sick!

Roy u must b stupid , Pacheco & Babel are both better than Maxi . Wake up Roy, I really don’t know what u c in Maxi, can’t dribble , can’t run at defenders ,can’t tackle ,just hopeless ,only makes up the numbers, sure he won’t make the team at ANY other PL club.

I think he just needs to be given a few games in the PL to see if hes ready, start him with torres or out wide and just see how hes travelling. Look at arsenal prime example of giving young startlets their chance and most of the times these guys come through. id love to see a younger liverpool side. i dont know if hes ready yet but i wouldnt mind seeing him given a go.

I would hate to see him leave if it’s because of the gaffer not giving him a chance in the first team. When I see players like Shelvey, Spearing, Eccleston and Ngog playing instead of him, I really pity Pacheco. With his talent and his potential, he should be given a run out. No doubt this guy would become a top class attacking player but I can’t understand why Hodgson isn’t giving him a chance.

The qualities of some of our youngsters may be overplayed by some fans at the moment, but then again, so too are the contributions of our experienced players like Maxi, Kuyt AND Cole from our manager!

All three of them have been pretty poor playing out wide for Liverpool this season. If they’d been world class players, playing on top form or the team was just playing well and winning with them in the team then ok, the fringe players should have to wait their turn.

However, none of those statements are true in this case and so they should definitely have been dropped earlier in the season!

pacheco shud probably b sent on loan so he can get some regular first team action and gain some experience and he’ll come back a better player..
