Cadena Ser are reporting that Liverpool are tracking Malaga’s Ivan Gonzalez. The 22 year old defender has been recommended to Roy Hodgson by chief scout Eduardo Macia who has been scouting the youngster since before even Rafa Benitez departed the club. Gonzalez broke into the first team last season and Cadena Ser reports that Premier League clubs have already enquired to Malaga about the defender. Hodgson is in the market for a defender after Jamie Carragher was sidelined for three months with a dislocated shoulder and Gonzalez, who is a threat at set-pieces, is one candidate being taken under consideration.
