Roy has ‘two weeks’ to save his job?

|

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson may only have two weeks to save his job. According to the paper, it is believed that John W Henry and FSG are unhappy with the way Hodgson attacked the fans after Wednesday night’s home defeat to Wolves. They are concerned with both the team’s poor performances and the belief that he may have lost some of the player’s backing. FSG have not yet called an emergency meeting to discuss the situation but the Mirror states it is clear that the American owners are losing patience with Hodgson and losing to Bolton tomorrow would leave the manager on the brink.

Sorry but what are the owners even waiting for? Does winning against Bolton mean Roy’s up for the job? The Bolton game should not be an indicator as to what the future lies for Roy. He’s done nothing to convince people that he’s the right manager to move the club forward. Winning at home to Bolton will mean nothing. We are Liverpool FC and we expect to win against teams like Bolton anyway. 18 league matches gone and we’re 3 points above the relegation zone, I think that’s enough to tell us and the owners that Roy clearly is not up to the task.

So I guess you want Roy to be still here in the January transfer window and bring in the likes of Charlton Cole and David Bentley. Is that what you want? He leaves after January and what if his replacement doesn’t like what he buys?
