The lack of sufficient firepower at the frontline has been proposed as one of the reasons for Liverpool’s dismal performance over the last season and and a half. Liverpool have depended almost invariably on Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard over the last three seasons, with the club falling on hard times when the club’s two superstars have not been firing on all cylinders or have been absent from the team. Rumours abound that Liverpool are about to sign Ajax’s wily Luis Suárez, while strong, fast and technically gifted Romelu Lukaku has been linked to the club in the wake of FSG’s stated intent to bring young high-potentials to Anfield.
Other options for Liverpool’s top brass include El Kun, the wonderfully talented Atlético Madrid forward; in-fashion Fernando Llorente, said to be wanted by Real Madrid and Barcelona; the powerful Hulk from Porto, whose strength, speed and movement off the ball have made him the most feared striker in Portugal; and the physically imposing but also high-scoring Stefan Kiessling of Bayer Leverkusen, who missed much of this season due to knee injury but scored 21 goals in 33 matches last season.

Lukaku wants a Chelsea move so we wouldn’t get him either.
Why do Liverpool always wait until the last few days before they make a move for anyone, then they panic on the last day and put in bids for worthless players like Carlton Cole. We all know we need another striker and some wingers it doesn’t take a genius to work that out.
Lets hope the Suarez deal gets sorted this week, im not sure about Nzogbia he has the attributes but his mood swings piss me off and its something we don’t need, because IF we do struggle again hed be the first one to moan and jump ship……YNWA
