2-0 to the Reds today? My Weekend Predictions

|

What weekend we have ahead of us. A cracking full card of fixtures that set the stage for some fascinating games. It’s such a good weekend – it goes on until Tuesday!

Here we’ll look at Saturdays’ and Sundays’ games and try to help you beat the bookies with some eye-catching opportunities on the odds front. Don’t forget that Bet365 are offering the best deal on the block. They’ll match any deposit up to £200.

Manchester United vs Manchester City

The worst case scenario here is that these two cancel each other out of course. My hunch and it is only a hunch of course, is that a piece of individual brilliance is the most likely thing that will separate these two at full time.

Tevez will be off the bridle from the start, but will he get the support? Rooney is doing a good impression of man shaking off his demons. He even looked sincere when he kissed Benty on Wednesday night. Prediction 1-3.

Arsenal vs Wolves

This will be interesting. Wolves are on the up. If you don’t believe me, the table shows West Ham are back on bottom! Arsenal at their best play beautiful football. Their disgraceful accumulation of red cards needs to be addressed. Whining about injustice just won’t cut it. Prediction 2-0.

Birmingham City vs Stoke City

I won’t be watching this one. Look, Birmingham’s home form is relatively awful and Stoke’s away form is relatively better than awful. So sell everything you own and lump on Stoke. Prediction 1-2.

Blackburn Rovers vs Newcastle United

If Pardew has been able to maintain the momentum he instilled in his lot at half time last week this will be a basketball score. A week is along time in politics and the equivalent to a month in football. Blackburn could cause Newcastle problems here. They won’t play a gapingly open game like Arsenal. Prediction 2-3.

Introducing FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION!

Blackpool vs Aston Villa

Difficult to see anything but an away win. My worry would be that with one win in their last six, the Tangerines have become used to losing. They are sinking and the one time Good Time Gang are now 4 points off the bottom of the table. Villa are looking rejuvenated. Ouch. Prediction 1-4.

Liverpool vs Wigan

King Kenny is looking more secure and certain with every game. Wigan are looking like a team that really wants to get out of the relegation scrap but just does not know how to. This is a game Roy Hodgson would probably have botched. Prediction 2-0.

West Brom vs West Ham

It doesn’t rain, but it pours. West Brom were well and truly on the ropes and they go and appoint Roy Hodgson and perhaps get themselves a pinch of that old feel good factor. West Ham are on the verge of being the proud owners of the swankiest stadium in the Championship. Robbie Keane is out for 6 weeks. Prediction 1-0.

Sunderland vs Tottenham Hotspur

This is a game that traditionally Spurs would make a fist of and I’m struggling to see why this will be any exception missing enough players to form a Physio’s XI they seem to be waiting for someone, anyone to hit some decent form. Sunderland’s form is patchy. The home advantage and Steve Bruce bei8ng a lively bloke might kick in and aid them nicking this. Prediction 2-1.
