A Pairing to Strike Fear Into Our Opponents? And Why we resent Fernando Torres: This week on Live4Liverpool.com

|

Well, there is probably little to say about this week that hasn’t already been said. It was certainly a rollercoaster ride up until Monday night, with a sense of despair at the departure if Fernando Torres followed quickly by excitement about the prospect of seeing Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez up fron together. Credit must go to Damien Comolli and Kenny Dalglish for getting these deals done so quickly after the hammer blow of Torres’s decision to leave the club. It looks as if now they had more time than previously believed as Torres revealed yesterday he told Liverpool of his desire to leave “10-12 days before the end of the transfer window.” In any case, you can imagine that the majority of blogs this week have been about Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll. Niall Sherry gives an excellent account as to why us Reds fans were so angry about the Spaniard’s departure in “The Words of Fernando Torres That Made Us So Angry,” while David Tyrer reflects on the past year at LFC in “The Most Stressful 12 Months in LFC History?” Many thanks to David Tyrer, Mark Wilson, Elliott Tunstall, Chris Severs,  John Toher, Niall Sherry and Alex Hess for writing for us this week.
