Reds Owner in rethink over CEO plans?

|

The Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are having a rethink over the appointment of a new Chief Executive. The Reds were expected to appoint a new CEO at the end of January after a three month search but John W Henry and Chairman Tom Werner are yet to decide on an appointment. With Liverpool Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli, manager Kenny Dalglish, as well as Henry and Werner all involved in decision making over transfers, there are concerns that adding another voice with power to the mix could make things too complicated. With no decision yet made according to the paper, the appointment of Ian Ayre looks more likely as he would be a natural choice translating most of his role from Commercial Director to CEO.
