Liverpool’s defeat to West Ham last week was a big disappointment but it wasn’t unexpected after 3 below par performances prior to the match. The Reds were outfought and outplayed for the majority of the match and it raises the question as to whether some Liverpool players cannot get themselves motivated to play the supposedly “lesser” teams. There should be no such problems against Manchester United tomorrow and with Nemanja Vidic suspended and a potential first appearance for Andy Carroll, all the omens are looking good for a home victory.
