According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool nearly signed Real Sociedad’s young French winger Antoine Griezmann in the January transfer window. The paper believes that the Reds are still interested in the 20 year old and could return to the San Sebastian club in the summer for the player. Both the Mail and the Daily Star also believe that Liverpool are tracking Griezmann’s team mate Xabi Prieto. The 27 year old can play on the right, left or centre of midfield and could be available for £8million, according to the paper.
