There is often a danger with attributing a certain player the tag of ‘underrated’. Sometimes it gets to the extent whereby pundits all trot out the same party line on a player that they can subsequently go from being ‘underrated’ to ‘overrated’ in a heartbeat.
The players that I’ve tried to pinpoint here are ones whose praises often go unsung. Some are bigger names than others, some players are more crucial to their respective team’s style of play than others, but to my mind, they are all criminally underrated.
