Wolves have entered the race for Preston midfield starlet Adam Barton, according to local newspaper the Express & Star. The paper has reported that manager Mick McCarthy was at Preston’s North End’s match against Reading last Tuesday night to make a check on the player. Liverpool have also been linked with Barton and Assistant Manager Sammy Lee has reportedly been seen at a few Preston matches this season to check up on Barton. The youngster is best described as a ball-playing midfield player and has appeared 32 times for Preston this season.
