According to the Daily Mirror, Tottenham and West Ham are ready to give Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole a way out from his disappointing spell on Merseyside. The Reds pursuit of Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux on a free transfer could lead to Cole to be pushed out of the door and the London clubs are ready to bid for the player if Cole is deemed surplus to requirements. The paper believes that the former Chelsea man, who has struggled with injuries and has failed to justify his £100,000 a week wages since joining the Reds in the summer, could be allowed to depart back to London.
