Not the best start by any stretch of the imagination and perhaps they were early warning signs from the eye in the sky that Cole’s Liverpool career was going to derail. Two incidents don’t ruin a career that has seen Cole been labelled the answer to England’s left midfield problem, the midfielder clearly has shown he has an abundance of talent over the years, but has he really lost his ‘edge’ or should praise be going to the continual good form of Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez, with the former in particular arguably Liverpool’s player of the season.
Ultimately Joe Cole will more than likely leave Anfield in the summer without ever showing fans why he was dubbed a child prodigy at West Ham and won Chelsea’s player of the year in 2008.

i watched the youth team yesterday, they turned up to play everton youth away from home and our keeper was dressed from top to toe in royal blue ?
what does it tell us ? there are some overated personal and or a fashion consious goalkeeper who picked the ball out of the net 4 times – fully deserved, the idiot of a referee never asked him to change his shirt which clashed 100% with the everton players shirts either. all in all a bad deafeat that will hopefully get some heads out of the clouds.

Why has Joey Cole failed?

Kenny said about Cole and I quote “Form is temporary, class is permanent” and Joe has class to burn, It’s more a question of fitting into a team and just a little luck at the right time. I would keep him. I think Kenny will as well.

@Chelsea fan, 2 goals in the 16 games (started 8 games and the other 8 as a sub) Cole has played in EPL so far, better than the traitor who managed only 1 in 14 games. Now, who is being conned???
