Zavaglia: If he returns to Liverpool, it would be no drama

|

Alberto Aquilani’s agent Franco Zavaglia has continued to talk about the future of his client on Italian radio. Speaking to Radio Sportiva, he said:

“Alberto is proving his worth and has played at 70-80 per cent of his real capacity this term, The buy-out process was fixed in August 2010 and was very clear. How much is he worth? I don’t know about that, as the value of players is also based on how much a side needs them. There shouldn’t be any big problems in completing the buy-out. It’s not a formality exactly, but Juventus will not allow one of the best midfielders in Europe to slip through their fingers. We’ll see if Juve can save a little bit. Alberto would prefer to stay in Italy, but if he does have to return to Liverpool then it’s not a drama. After all, he would be playing for one of the most important clubs in England.”

Juventus have stated in recent days that they will attempt to lower the £13.5m set out in the loan agreement, and it is uncertain whether the Reds will accept such a proposal.
