Perhaps an Opportunity for our Young Star to Shine?

|

Paul Lambert has already said he is keen on keeping the Spaniard for next season, and with Norwich looking for cheap, talented players for their top flight campaign, Pacheco would seem an ideal fit. Sure, he hasn’t been playing regularly during his current loan spell, but it is always hard to get into a team when they are playing well, and he will defineltey get more chances next term at Carrow Road when Norwich could be struggling more. While it is easy to see Grant Holt doing well in the top flight with his aerial power, it is uncertain how the likes of Jackson and Wes Hoolahan will cope with a jump in quality. This could be Pacheco’s opportunity to show his abilities and to perform on a consistent basis.

The last thing we want is Pacheco kicking his heels on the bench, and I believe a season playing quite regularly in the Premier League, will give us the greatest indicator as to whether he will make it at the top level. If he succeeds, he will return to Liverpool a much better player, much like Jack Wilshere and now Daniel Sturridge benefited from loan spells at Bolton Wanderers, or if he fails, we can then safely sell Dani back to Spain without any regrets.

I think dalglish only belive in british players .this season we see how spearing , robinson and flano get chance of playing in the team and pacheco always was an unused substitute or not selected for 18. If we want to go for trophis we must belive in all talente not only british player. I hope kenny change his mind about foreign players .

face it, any player from our squad should be the first on norwich’s team sheet, pacheco hasnt progressed, im not saying he wont but he wont develop quickly enough to make the grade, its not his fault but its a bit of both his and the club for not trying him enough. Hopefully kenny plays all the kids next year in europe and id like to see him stay for another year to bulk up and improve himself

Dani Pacheco will not be given a chance at Liverpool no matter how good he is because Kenny Dalglish favours British youngsters. Spearing and Shelvey are average at best, yet they are playing regularly while Pacheco, who is far superior to them, doesn’t even get a sniff in the first team. Some people might prefer British guys but Pacheco and other foreign guys’ talents should not be overlooked. Robinson, Flanagan, Wilson, Spearing and Shelvey are all getting their chances yet the likes of Pacheco and Mavinga are being overlooked.

If Pacheco is superior to both Spearing and Shelvey, how come he can’t get into the first team of a team in the championship? I could understand everyone’s desire for him to play for the Liverpool first team, but how can he possibly be included when he can’t even get into the first team of a team in the league below!

      Take your blinkers off people!

      • David says:

Thank you Steve, well said it is nothing to do with him being foreign, he might be technically gifted but if he isn’t good enough at championship level he isn’t good enough for Liverpool

      • Eric says:

Pacheco won the Golden Boot at last year’s U19 European Championship and plays for Spain U21s now. Spearing, in contrast, has not even represented England at youth level while Shelvey has been very average. The reason Pacheco hasn’t been given a chance in Liverpool’s first team is down to the mere fact that he’s foreign and not because he isn’t good enough.

yeah and el hadji diouf looked amazing at the world cup before we signed him.

and milan baros won a golden boot and hes a goat!

  • MG says:
