Joe Cole, Alberto Aquilani, Christian Poulsen and David Ngog have all been left out of the squad for tonight’s Carling Cup second round tie against Exeter City. It seems likely that the Reds are looking to push through deals to sell all four fringe players before the end of the transfer window. Normally, even out of favour players tend to get a run out in the Carling Cup but with no European football this season, Kenny Dalglish has looked to keep players on the verge of leaving the club out of first team action. Ngog is expected to leave for Bolton this week, Aquilani looks like sealing a transfer to AC Milan while Joe Cole could return to London with QPR.

I like Joe Cole and Alberto Aquilani but they dont suit liverpools system, so its time go get rid of them, hope Poulsen, Ngog, Degen, Insua follow them as well. Also if Maxi is on £90K a week get rid of him too
Maxi is NOT on 90K pw, closer to 40-45K pw
