Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has stated he wants to be his own man after being asked about comparisons to Steven Gerrard. He told Liverpoolfc.tv:

“Steven’s a big player and he has been for many years because he’s one of the best in the world, but I just want to be myself. I don’t want to follow in anyone’s footsteps. I’ll learn from Steven massively because he’s a great player. There’s a lot of other great players here that I’ll learn from but I don’t think I’m following in anyone’s footsteps, especially Steven’s. I’ve got to concentrate on what I want to do and achieve here, and hopefully that can happen.”

Henderson is looking forward to playing against his old club Sunderland on the first day of the season if he is picked to play:

“If I play I’ve got to treat it as a normal game. It will be a massive occasion and I’ve just got to play my normal game. I had a great time at Sunderland and have supported them my whole life. I’ve got a lot of respect for the manager there, the staff and player. It was a hard decision at the time to leave but it was a massive opportunity to come to a massive club like Liverpool and progress as a player.”

This week it is former Miss World and LFC fan Rosanna Davison!!
